Media Release 23 Oct 2016

AGFAABI is excited to announce that The Story Of… Books will be partnering with us in the coming months to help cover some of the costs involved in distributing gowns across Australia for families in need.

Angel Gowns for Australian Angel Babies Inc. is a registered charity that provides bereaved families with Angel Gown Packages free of charge. Beautiful ladies and gentlemen from our community donate their wedding dresses and attire with love which are then transformed with love and donated to hospitals and funeral homes all over Australia.

“This is a powerful partnership,” says AGFAABI founder, Sarah McVeigh, “because we align at a fundamental level: At our very core, we are both committed to supporting families through the most difficult days, weeks and months that follow bereavement.”

Kate Polley’s personalised ‘The Story Of…’ book series has been designed as a treasured keepsake for those who have suffered the loss of a loved one. The book range includes a version for families who have lost a child, more than one child, one or both twins, a parent, grandparent or even a special person, such as an aunt, uncle or friend.
“Together we can help smooth the way for families to really focus on what’s important to them during this time, rather than having to find resources and answers that can be equally as traumatising as the bereavement,” says Gail, Publishing Director at The Story Of … Books.

Purchasers can simply put ‘Angel Gowns for Australian Angel Babies’ into the comments section when purchasing a book, and a portion of the proceeds will then be donated directly to the charity.
